Day 13/365 2017 Auckland Hospital Lift Well

We have been going to Auckland Hospital daily for the last 7 days visiting my Uncle and I have noticed lots of interesting architectural structures. Today's photo is of the hospital lift wells, they are fascinating to watch as they move so quickly...constantly all day!

Day 10/365 2017 Strength

Today a beloved uncle was going through major surgery for 8 hours. Survival chances were 10%. While I was waiting with the family I was drawing this Pōhutukawa tree. It is fitting as the tree is strong and full of personality, just like my uncle. He has survived the surgery but has a long recovery period ahead of him.

Day 6/365 2017 The Christmas Train saga

A long story made short...New Christmas tradition is the family building the Lego Christmas Village. Ordered the 2016 Christmas train on the 19th of December, (guaranteed to be with us by the 21st) it got picked up by Courier Post, and then went on a trip from Tauranga to Wellington, to Auckland to Wellington and back to Auckland. We received it today on the 6th of January. #CourierPostFail
