Day 206 Last Day in Ohiwa

Today is the last day in Ohiwa, a small beach front community between Ohope and Opotiki. My 'in-laws' are moving to Papamoa Beach tomorrow. There are some wonderful views in Ohiwa.

 

Day 156 Wild Ohiwa Beach

My in-laws live down in Ohiwa Beach (known by the locals as Bryan's Beach) in the Bay of Plenty. The dunes on the foreshore have been planted by the locals to stop the erosion of the beach back to the road.

Day 122 Shakespear Bay

It was a stunning day in Auckland today, in fact the whole country had fantastic weather. This photo is of Shakespear Bay in Whangaparaoa. In the distance you can see Rangitoto Island and yachts in the harbour.

We are on a road trip to Matarangi in the Coromandel and you see toitois (toetoe) all along the coastline.
