Day 62 Black and White for Canterbury

Friday 4 March was a day where everybody in New Zealand remembered the people of Christchurch and the earthquake they had been through. They wore the Canterbury rugby colours of red and black. Schools, businesses and other institutions ran fund raising activities where the funds went to the earthquake relief fund.
Mountain View School in Mangere hung red and black balloons from their 'Wishing Tree' and the students wore Red and Black instead of their school uniform.

Day 58 Tall Tree in Gisborne

I have always been fascinated by this tree at my cousin's house in Gisborne. If they ever have to cut it down it will have to be done with a helicopter as it is so tall!
